The latest edition of the Arizona Fall League is just days away, with opening day scheduled for October 7.
On Wednesday, the league gave fans their first look at the league’s initial rosters, which feature 13 of Baseball America’s Top 100 prospects. The group is led by Mariners shortstop Colt Emerson, who ranks No. 11 on the current iteration of the list.

Mesa Solar Sox
Top 100 Prospects: Xavier Isaac, 1B, Rays (32); Moises Ballesteros, C, Cubs (64)
Other Intriguing Prospects: In name, the Rays have two top-tier first basemen headed to the Fall League. The first, Xavier Isaac, should challenge for the league’s home run crown. The second, Tre’ Morgan, is one of the position’s slickest fielders and posted an outstanding season at the plate, as well. He hits the ball plenty hard, makes sound swing decisions and finished year with as many walks (48) as strikeouts over the course of 437 plate appearances across three levels. Notably, Morgan is listed as an outfielder on the Mesa roster. … Royals prospect Jac Caglianone is the highest-profile draftee from the 2024 draft to play in the AFL, but the Angels will also be sending one of their newest picks. David Mershon, the team’s 18th-rounder out of Mississippi State, will also be a part of the Mesa infield group. Mershon, 21, reached Double-A in his pro debut and produced a .624 OPS with five doubles.
