Hall is one of the best athletes and best defensive shortstops in the 2026 high school class. With a lean 5-foot-11 frame, Hall is a quick-twitch, explosive player with plus-plus speed and he accelerates quickly. He’s also an instinctive defender at shortstop, where he gets quick breaks off the bat, has good range, body control and a nose for the ball. Hall moves his feet well with smooth, graceful actions and the ability to make acrobatic, highlight reel plays. He’s clean on both ends of the double play turn and has an above-average with comfort throwing from different angles. The tools are there for Hall to develop into a plus or better defender at shortstop. His offensive game has traits to like as well. He has strong hands and generates good bat speed for his size, though he is an extremely aggressive hitter who will need to be more selective against better pitching. If he does, he has the potential to make a big jump up the list.
