Sullivan is a power-armed righthander with a 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame and a fastball that touched 97 mph at Prep Baseball Report’s Super 60 showcase in February. That’s a few ticks higher than the 95 mph he touched in the 2023 showcase season, and it’s easy to project a plus fastball for him in the future. He also has a power slider that could give him a second plus offering with high spin rates in the 2,700-2,800 rpm range. Sullivan has occasionally flipped in an upper-80s changeup, but that pitch is far behind the fastball/slider duo currently. There’s reliever risk with Sullivan as he needs to improve his control—particularly his ability to hit the glove side with a crossbody delivery—and because of that he has a fairly wide range of opinions from the scouting community. Sullivan is committed to Notre Dame but could garner early day two draft consideration.
