Baseball America’s Top 30 Seattle Mariners Prospects entering 2024 are here exclusively for subscribers. The list includes updated scouting reports, BA grades and tool grade projections for every player.

Inevitably, there are players every year who barely miss the cut when we narrow down the list. These players are all worth monitoring for various reasons and it’s likely some will either reach the big leagues in 2024 or enjoy breakout seasons lower in the minors.

Here are next 10 players to know in the Mariners system beyond their Top 30.

31. Luis Suisbel, 1B/3B

Suisbel is a switch-hitter with big power, particularly from the left side. He has a large frame with limited athleticism and projects to end up at first base, putting a lot of pressure on his bat.

32. Logan Evans, RHP

Evans took off after the Mariners drafted him in the 12th round out of Pittsburgh. His fastball sits 92-93 mph and his cutter and slider are both above-average pitches.

33. Marcelo Perez, RHP

An 11th-round pick out of Texas Christian in 2022, Perez posted a 3.38 ERA across the Class A levels in his pro debut. His deceptive 91-94 mph fastball and short, sharp slider give him the weapons to potentially pitch in a big league bullpen.

34. Bill Knight, OF

A 10th-round pick out of Mercer in 2022, Knight is a speedy center fielder who puts together good at-bats. He was on his way to a standout first full season at High-A Everett in 2023 before suffering a broken hand.

35. Travis Kuhn, RHP

Kuhn is an aggressive reliever with a fastball up to 97 mph and a hard, 85-87 mph slider. His control is below-average, but he throws the ball over the plate enough to get outs.

36. Samad Taylor, 2B

A twitchy athlete with the ability to play both infield and outfield, Taylor fits the mold of a up and down utility type. He made his big league debut in 2023 but spent most of the year at Triple-A Omaha, where he hit .302/.418/.466. The Mariners acquired Taylor from the Royals this offseason.

37. Kaden Polcovich, 2B/OF

Polcovich played only 42 games last year after having surgery to repair a broken hamate bone and struggled, but at his best he’s a versatile defender with sneaky power and plus speed.

38. Josh Hood, 2B

Hood is a plus athlete with good instincts and a high motor who can play almost any position. His swing direction and mechanics are poor and need to be overhauled for him to hit better pitching.

39. Ashton Izzi, RHP

A rail-thin righthander who oozes projection, Izzi got hit around to the tune of an 8.35 ERA in the Arizona Complex League and has to get stronger for his stuff to play.

40. Brody Hopkins, RHP

A two-way player in college the Mariners selected Hopkins in the 6th round and will develop him as a pitcher. Hopkins standout athleticism is notable, hinting at remaining projection on the mound after making just a dozen starts in college.
