Craig showed intriguing tools as a junior at Columbia, but his aggressive approach at the plate sometimes lead to early-count outs, and his swing was more geared for power than it was for contact. He showed well in the Perfect Game Collegiate League as a rising junior, with potential for above-average power, arm strength, and speed, and he seemed to improve with every look scouts got. This spring, Craig tapped into more of the power in his 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame, and he was able to make more contact with his powerful lefthanded swing--he hit .332/.400/.598. He has not seen a lot of high-quality pitching, but has performed well to this point. Scouts see him as a solid senior sign with intriguing tools.
