No Kansas junior college program has produced more big leaguers than Cowley County. The Panthers, who won back-to-back Junior College World Series in 1997-98, have sent six players to the majors, including Travis Hafner and Trevor Rosenthal. Their top prospect this year is Meadors, an Oklahoma high school product who originally committed to Crowder (Mo.) JC. He didn't pitch there in 2012 but has blossomed as a redshirt freshman. Meadors has an average fastball that peaks at 93 mph and plays above its velocity because of its heavy life. His slider gives him a second solid offering at times, and he throws strikes with both pitches. There's projection remaining in his 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame.
