Another raw Mississippi prep product, Bray was the state's prep athlete of the year in 2011 and a junior-college football signee who changed his mind and instead chose baseball. He played one season at his father Scott's alma mater, South Alabama, but after getting 50 at-bats as a freshman, he transferred to Faulkner State, and his athleticism helped him shoot up draft boards. Bray has a high-waisted, big league body at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds with fast-twitch athleticism and top of the line speed. A lefthanded thrower and switch-hitter, he fits the center field profile, with good arm strength to boot. He is still finding his offensive identity. He hit .202 with one extra-base hit last summer in the Northwoods League and had just 11 extra-base hits this spring. He doesn't stay back and tends to try to slap the ball, make contact and use his speed. His running ability and defensive potential could allow him to survive in pro ball while his bat develops. He could get drafted as early as the fourth round.
